NEIGHBORHOOD LOCATION : UNION SQUARE

This year we are featuring the Union Square neighborhood in Manhattan.

With 7 different subway lines, Union Square is a great neighborhood for getting around the city for prayer walks and attending worship services.

At the heart of the neighborhood is a public park that hosts the city’s largest farmers market. The market features 140 vendors from incredible coffee, pastries, cheeses, jams, flowers to fruit and vegetables from farmers in the region.

Travel & Lodging

Travel

We recommend flying into JFK International (JFK) or LaGuardia (LGA) Airports for easy access to our weekend. Teterboro Airport is the private landing facility closest to NYC and is fully supported by NY/NJ Port Authority.

Lodging

For lodging we recommend the newly renovated W Hotel at Union Square, located at the heart of the neighborhood. The hotel will allow you to step out in the morning to beat the crowds for your morning coffee and pastries.

For your convenience, a block of rooms has been reserved at the W Hotel at a discounted rate. The rooms in our block are:

  • Standard King at $499/night plus taxes

  • Superior King at $549/night plus taxes

  • Superior Queen with 2 beds at $759/night plus taxes

FAQs

  • This is an invite-only weekend for the small community of financial partners who have supported the work of the New York Project at City to City NYC, the church planting movement in NYC.

  • Previous weekends, such as Momentum Weekend and Celebration Weekend, were donor-centric weekends primarily focused on updating supporters on the church planting movement. Whereas Borough to Borough Weekend is a weekend hosted by City to City for church planters in NY to come together as one community to pray for our city and celebrate all that God continues to do.

We see donors and partners as an integral member of the gospel movement in NYC and we look forward to having you with us.

  • We simply ask attending guests to arrange and pay for their travel and lodging. All other costs from Friday afternoon to Sunday brunch will be covered by us.
