NYP Retreat

May 3–5, 2024

You are invited to a time of rest and spiritual formation with an intimate community of friends supporting the gospel movement in New York.

Hosted in Bridgewater, Connecticut from May 3 to 5, 2024, this retreat is centered around the theme of “A Long Obedience in the Same Direction.”

While the weekend will include talks from Kathy Keller and leaders from the church planting movement in NYC, the weekend will offer space for like-minded leaders to openly process our individual calling in our own spheres. Unlike our elaborate Momentum Weekend gatherings, we are purposefully planning a relaxed atmosphere with a light program and small guest list. The intent of this weekend is to rest, enjoy nature (or an occasional nap), and reflect on how to sustain a long-term pursuit of God’s purpose.

Welcome to Bridgewater, Connecticut

The weekend will be hosted at the beautiful family lodge of the Shabet family located in Connecticut. This private residence is surrounded by Sunny Meadow Farm and the weekend will feature the farm’s fresh, locally grown produce and ample access to nature for hiking.

Schedule 2024

While the weekend officially kicks off Friday evening, anyone needing to arrive earlier can enjoy an extra day of rest at the lodge and explore the grounds beginning on Thursday, May 2.

Travel & Lodging

While the costs of this weekend are being generously underwritten by a donor, we simply ask attending guests to arrange and pay for their travel to the retreat. We recommend guests fly into LaGuardia Airport (LGA), Westchester Airport (HPN), or Teterboro Airport (the private landing facility closest to NYC). Upon arriving in New York, the lodge is an additional one to two hour drive (about 1 hour from Westchester and 2 hours from LaGuardia or Teterboro) so we ask guests to plan on flying in by 2 PM on Friday at the latest to leave ample time for travel and skip the worst of NYC traffic.
